Weekly Update

Dear Masters:

1. This week I'll be in Austin for Nationals. There will be 3 people helping out at workouts. Alice will be covering the Mornings/Afternoon workouts Wed, Thur, Fri and Mon. Grace Moon will be covering the Wed Fri PM workouts, Mikey will be covering the Thurs PM and Saturday AM workouts for us. Please be kind and curtious to everyone that is helping out and thank-you to Alice, Mikey and Grace for filling in.

2. Open Water season is definitely here. With that here is the link to the local events http://mortonsaltreport.homestead.com/raceschedule.html check it out! and if you need someone to go with talk around during practice and you can always email me and I can foward it on to the group.

3. Long Course is also drawing fast upon us. If you are planning on attending the LC meets please let me know if you are and which ones, so I can plan on attending. Also there is Nationals up in Portland (not too far from home) in August, if you're planning on going also let me know, if we have enough people interested I'll plan on attending.

4. The Freestyle Stroke Clinic is creeping up on us again. May 10th Saturday, make sure you contact the front desk, pay and get signed up if you want to attend. It starts at 2 and ends at 4. Flyer attached for details...also if you need more info about it please feel free to contact me as soon as possible.

5. We had an Amazing Regionals meet at Mission Viejo. Our team placed 10th overall out of 48 teams...up from 17th last year and 28th the year before. I think we are in great position next year to bring home a plaque (plaques are awarded to those teams ranked 8th or above), we definitely need as many swimmers at those meets possible for scoring points. So make sure you plan on attending those regional meets, lets get noticed in the swimming community! Results are on www.spma.net if you want to check out how we did!

That's about all the rambing on I can do this week, we'll keep you all posted on day by day on the websites blog: http://rosebowlmasters.blogspot.com/ about Austin and how things are going! Have a great week and have fun workouts!

Chad
